生きていると、あらゆることにおいてつまづいたり転んだりすることがあります。それはほんのちょっとつまづく程度のものだったり、派手に転んだりすることだったり、様々です。「七転び八起き」という言葉がありますが、大切なのは失敗しても、上手く行かなくても、また起き上がって前進すること。もちろん、なるべくなら失敗しない方が良いというのも確かです。しかし、行動を続けて行けば、必ず大なり小なりの失敗は生じます。その時、そしてその後に、自分がどう反応をするかが大切なのです。

Over the course of life, year after year, month after month, day after day, there’s always a possibility of making mistakes. You can’t avoid stumbling or falling down unless you do nothing. Life is not all sunshine and rainbows, and sometimes it tries to beat you into pieces. But then you’re being tested. The sky is trying to figure out how tough, persistent, and determined you are. There’s a saying, “Fall down seven times, Stand up eight times”, which means no matter how you get hit, you can move forward again. And I think that’s the mindset that we all need. Considering the fact that you’re invariably exposed to a possibility of making mistakes or encountering something unlucky, it’s about how you respond to them and how you think and make action after that.
